Beaches
Clear turquoise waters, golden sands and ice cream vans. Devon’s coastline has it all - aswell as an epic coastal path. The water can be ambient, but thank goodness for wetsuits.
We have surf (Bantham), cliff jumping (Anisty’s Cove), rock pools (Shaldon) and calm shallow bays (Elberry Cove).
With most between 30 mins to an hour from the house.

A crescent shaped beach, cliff backed with good rock pooling and epic crabbing. To get to the beach you have to go through an old smugglers tunnel. There is also a small Zoo www.shaldonwildlifetrust.org.uk.
Food
The particularly good Cafe Ode is based in the car park too. Known locally for its great food and for pushing the boundaries of sustainable hospitality. With inside and outside seating. www.odetruefood.com

A small beach with good clean and clear swimming. With a working fishing harbour and lots of other amenities all based round the big harbour, great crabing off the harbour wall. All you need for a good family day out.

A stunning stretch of beach with a corridor of sand leading to Burgh Island with its Art Deco hotel and 13th Century pub. If the tide is in a sea tractor takes you over. One of our go to beaches.

Quiet, peaceful and incredibly beautiful, this small shingle beach is the place to come if you want to escape the crowds. You can rent a deckchair and relax, paddle in the glistening sea.
The scenery here is stunning - enjoy crystal blue waters for swimming or paddleboarding.

Cliff jumping To the left of the bay accessed by paddling over. There is a flat headland which used to be a quarry, with easy access in and out of the water. Here you will find an array of jumps for all ages and abilities. Top Tip is to a kayak just round the headland where you will get some amazing photos of the jumpers. A fun family adventure.

A sheltered, shingle beach between Paignton and Brixham, popular for its clear waters, dog-friendly environment.
Great for snorkeling and swimming. Known for the ruins of Lord Churston's 18th-century bathhouse, it offers a secluded setting away from the hustle and bustle of larger busier beaches.
No direct parking or facilities.
